To maintain high-quality, state-certified driver’s education, our school acknowledges the associated costs.  However, as educators, we strive to make our programs accessible to everyone.  To better support low-income families, we collaborate with Colorado Department of Human Services’ Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to offer our 30-hour course free of charge to SNAP recipients. For further information about SNAP to become eligible for free driver’s education visit: https://cdhs.colorado.gov/snap

Working with teens and young adults in foster care, we offer the Online Plus Package and Behind-The-Wheel 6 at discounted prices. All services are available to DHS. To learn more about Denver Chafee visit: denverchafee.org

Adams12 x McKinney Vento
North Metro Trauma Centers

Our partnership with Adams12 involves working with in-district students that fall under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Act. The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act authorizes the federal Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) Program and is the primary piece of federal legislation related to the education of children and youth experiencing homelessness. Our staff members in the North and Denver market attend trauma-informed training to better connect and work with these students. The McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaison collaborates with DriveSafe to determine which driving program will best meet students’ needs for success.

Trauma centers within the North Denver-Metro area are dedicated to ensuring the safety of young drivers. In line with this commitment, the Good Samaritan Medical Center Foundation has been awarded a grant from Farmers Insurance. This grant enables DriveSafe to provide scholarships to teenagers in the community who seek driver’s education training. These scholarships, valued up to $450 each, are allocated toward comprehensive driver education programs encompassing 30 hours of in-person instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training with a certified instructor. Please note that this is a competitive scholarship opportunity. To learn more click here

BreakThrough, is a successful reentry program that takes a holistic approach to community and individuals. The in-facility program focuses on character development, job readiness, reentry planning, and the entrepreneurial mindset, providing opportunities for holistic growth. DriveSafe provides their previously incarcerated clients with a written permit and driver’s test to assist their transition and reintegration into the community.

As an education company committed to preparing students for their future, DriveSafe Driving Schools celebrates educational opportunities and recognizes the importance of education in helping individuals reach their greatest potential. To demonstrate our commitment, we provide an annual Scholarship Competition, the winner of which will receive a $1,500 scholarship that can be used in any way to enhance their education. Stanford University is conducting a study on whether an online-based platform called WebChat could help reduce risky driving behaviors among teens learning to drive. Given DriveSafe’s alignment and commitment to coaching teens in becoming safe drivers and safe decision makers for life, DriveSafe aided Stanford in recruiting volunteers for this study. DriveSafe thanks all our students who signed up to participate, as these efforts align with our values of educating new drivers to prioritize safety. We are excited to share findings in 2025!
